WHO ATE MY MAMA?

Victoria (Tory) is one of the Indian Nation foals rescued at Fallon. At only a few days old she had been stripped from her dam who had been shipped to slaughter. She, along with other foals, were rescued in a joint LRTC / Lifesavers effort and bottle fed at LRTC's Dayton, NV Foster care center.

"Who ate my Mama?"
Lee Graves and Tory.

The t-shirt Tory is wearing reads, "AMERICANS DON'T EAT HORSES! Support HR 503."
Tory's adopters, Lee and Kathy Graves, entered Tory in the 2005 Western States Wild Horse and Burro Show. Although only 15 weeks old Tory not only took first place in her division but Judge Richard Shrake named Tory champion halter horse of the show. Only once before has Richard Shrake placed a horse so young as a show halter champion.

It is disgraceful that the dam that produced such a fine foal was served as table meat in Europe.
