SECTION II: SPECIFIC RESPONSE SCENARIOS

Evacuations are often the most challenging types of incidents involving large animals. In this section we will discuss safety issues and best practices when dealing with fires, floods and transportation accidents.

To begin we will start with an overview of large animal stress that can be exhibited during emergencies and proper euthanasia practices for animals severely injured due to accidents or events such as fires.
