Part Three

The Three Project Locations

The animals were divided into three project groups. The horses from Utah were assigned to LRTC volunteers in the Salt Lake region with Cliff and Janet Tipton as the project leaders. The horses and burros from California were assigned to LRTC volunteers in Knightsen (San Francisco Bay delta region) with Willis and Sharon Lamm as the project leaders. The Nevada horses were assigned to Lifesavers volunteers in Lancaster (northeastern Los Angeles County) with Jill Starr and Darice Holloway as the project leaders.
