We ended up bringing three horses back to the Learning Center from the adoption.
Jenny Morganstern adopted "Scout" who was a compliance return.
Scout had been previously adopted by an elderly gentleman who was not able to
properly care for him and he was returned to BLM. He had minimal handling but
we don't know how much or how good it was.

A little underweight but nice looking

A nice gentleman named Ted Parker from Stockton adopted two horses and brought them to the
Learning Center to get a leg up on their gentling.
One was a warmblood sized palomino that we called "Gentle Ben." He is a dominant
but quiet horse. In less than 15 minutes of line work he would offer contact
and we could approach him from both sides.

James touching Ben

We named his second horse "Rusty" do to his color. This fellow is quite a bit more
forward moving but has a pretty decent head on his shoulders. After about 15
minutes work with the bamboo pole we could pick up his short (12 ft.) lead and
work him on it and he offered to smell our hands.

Starting Rusty out with the pole

It was raining off an on during the afternoon. By the time we got to working with
Rusty it was pouring pretty hard so it was time to stop.
