Spike, Harry and Thundercloud

Three really nice looking bright bay geldings arrived at KBR on Sunday the 18th. They are three of the "Fearsome Foursome" from Nevada that Sara and John have been holding for a while. After they settled in we spent about a half hour with each evaluating their horsonalities and responsiveness.

Spike

Spike is the leader and the largest of the group. He appeared to be bold, clear headed but not aggressive. He took well to the pole and had we not had other things to do, we probably would have had our hands on him the first day.

Spike has been adopted!

Harry

Harry seemed to be the most timid of the three. He wasn't flighty but he seemed to be a bit of a worry wart. We were able to pole him and as soon as he started to sense we weren't trying to hurt him he responded to our contact.

Harry needs a soft touch but should come around fairly easily.

Thundercloud

Thundercloud will run from pressure. That may be due in part to having nearly been killed by the stallion "Bubba" in the wild. (The fight was broken up by Sherry O'Mahoney when she saw Bubba standing on Thundercloud's chest, ripping his ears off.)

Thundercloud still likes to act tough but will run from pressure. Getting him to accept contact will be a delicate matter but once he figures us people out, he could easily become a spoiled "bad boy" like Rusty.

Thundercloud has been adopted!
