We're looking for good homes! |
Area wild horse adoption groups will be offering some nice weanlings, yearlings and mature horses as part of the activities at the Fall Harvest Expo, an event to benefit the Mystic Riders 4-H group.
Included in the adoption will be Virginia Range weanlings, indian range mustang weanlings and a small number of older horses. The proceeds from the adoptions will go to the respective adoption programs. |

This will be a “Competitive Bid” adoption.
|
Any horses remaining after the competitive bid round will be available for adoption on a first come, first serve basis for the base fee of $150.00. The following are individual photos of horses scheduled for this event. Some horses are subject to adoption at other events scheduled prior to the Fall Harvest Festival. We will make every attempt to keep this catalog current and may put additional horses into the offering. If you wish to inquire about the status of a specific horse, please contact Shirley Allen at shirley@whmentors.org or telephone 775.246.7636.
Adopters must meet minimum requirements for corrals, fencing and shelters per Nevada Dept. of Agriculture adoption rules. Titles will be issued after adopters demonstrate one year of good care. After adoption volunteer assistance is available to provide advice in care, gentling, training and transportation of these animals. Horses are provided by Least Resistance Training Concepts (LRTC), the Virginia Range Wildlife Protection Assn. (VRWPA) and private rescuer Carol Valles. |

Webmaster's Notes:
How the adoption will work: Bidders will post their bids on clipboards attached to the adoption corrals. Qualified bidders may bid on multiple horses during the bidding period. Bidders who have high bids on multiple horses need take only the horse(s) they want in which case the horses that passed over will go to the second place bidders. Successful bidders will then complete adoption paperwork and make payment to the respective entity offering the horses won. This Catalog has been produced by the LRTC Wild Horse Mentors and is comprised of information provided by the entities offering these animals. It is correct to our best knowledge at the time of publishing. Horses provided at the adoption are subject to change. Please contact Shirley Allen at shirley@whmentors.org or telephone 775.246.7636 for the latest details. |
