Incident Support Unit 1

This information sheet is primarily intended for persons associated with or working with the LRTC Emergency Response Team, however the information may be useful to other groups or private individuals who may wish to similarly equip a support unit or who may need to utilize the resources available from LRTC's inventory during an emergency.

ISU-1 was configured to provide support and additional equipment for a variety of incidents including, but not limited to, highway / transportation incidents, water rescues, critical foal rescues, staging area support, prolonged incident support (including shelter and rehab for personnel,) and transport of specialized veterinary medical supplies.

  Exterior Cabinet Inventory

Cabinet 1:(Upper shelf)
Construction netting (snow fencing.)

Cabinet 1: (lower shelf)
Drop cones with flags, staging cones, "shoreline" for connecting generator to vehicle.

Cabinet 2:
Hay, rescue and utility ropes, safety harnesses, emergency triangle reflector stands, MUTCD traffic cones.

Cabinet 3: (Summer compliment)
Top shelf: Tire chocks, portable light, mule tape and small electric dewatering pump.
Bottom shelf: Bolt cutters, collapsible ladder, portable mister, anchor ring, generator, extension cords.

Cabinet 3: (Winter compliment)
Top shelf: Tire chocks, portable light, mule tape and small electric dewatering pump.
Bottom shelf: Bolt cutters, collapsible ladder, anchor ring, propane heater, generator, extension cords.

Cabinet 4:
Foal carry-all (not shown), INCIDENT AHEAD signs, STAGING AREA sign, fence and gate repair box.

Cabinet 5: (Outside access)
Top: Evac kit (flagging ribbon, throw ribbons, colored duct tape, cattle marking crayons).
3rd shelf: LED wands and flashlights, traffic wands.
2nd shelf: Bulk water, coffee and hot beverage service, nutrition box.
Bottom: mechanic's tool box, rechargeable flashlight.

Cabinet 6:
Portable outhouse, portable toilet, collapsible garbage can, rope rescue bag and accessories.
